Support Darul Ihsan (The Mayflower)– A Growing Need in Our Community

Alhamdulillah, on 13th February 2025, we officially opened the doors of Darul Ihsan, and since then, it has been alive with daily salah and a growing congregation. Jumu’ah prayers are already at full capacity, and during Ramadan, the masjid overflows, forcing many to pray outside. To accommodate this overwhelming demand, we have had to hire a marquee—a clear sign of how much this masjid is needed in our community.

Located with excellent access to Colchester Road, Uppingham Road, Spencefield Lane, and other main routes, Darul Ihsan is more than a place of worship—it’s a hub for spirituality, education, and unity. However, we are urgently fundraising to renovate the first floor, so our musallees can pray indoors and our children can benefit from a dedicated evening madrasah.

We need your help to raise money for the renovation mussal-lah and to repay the Qardh Hasana of £500,000. Every donation, big or small, will be multiplied in rewards, as Allah promises:

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing." (Qur’an 2:261)

Our vison is a society where the core Islamic values of Belief, Knowledge, Spiritually, Worship and Charity are established according to the correct understanding of Islam, Quran and Sunnah in the ways shown by our Prophet Muhammed صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ and His Companions رضي الله عنهم .

Al-Ihsaan Foundation aims to realize this vision by establishing a centre of Da'wah and Learning, to educate, empower and inspire the unpreviliged in the community, locally and across the world, through spiritual guidance, educational enrichment and dynamic social and charitable services.
