We are requesting All to donate generously to this urgent housing need that has arisen due to the current earthquake disaster. 

People have received sufficient aid with regards to clothes, blankets, medicines etc. Videos of how surplus aid has been left on streets has been seen and it's quite sad to see this, however this situation is inevitable due to the unplanned activities that have taken place due to the disaster.

The urgent requirement now is solid accommodation for the people living in tents and shelters. 

There are families living in unbearable conditions with brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers all cramped in one tent. Very poor toilet facilities and no privacy within tents, especially for women if they would like to change etc. 

Ramadan is around the corner and we would like to raise the funds as soon as possible and inshAllah have this project started and finisded in time for Ramadan, so these families can worship and break there fast in a warm, safe and comfortable environment. 

The project is led by civil and structural engineers who have teamed up with charities to deliver this project. 

The engineers are not charging any fees associated with this project and all proceeds will go towards materials, labour, permits, transportation etc. 

We urge all to dig deep and donate to this urgent and much needed cause. 

Some details about the construction:

Engineered Village

    • This project is designed and executed by Civil and Structural  Engineers - services provided free of charge
    • First 20 homes built within 14 days and total project completion within 30 - 35 days (approx.)
    • Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, electrics etc. 
    • Well insulated for winter months
    • Designed to be earthquake safe
    • Fire safe materials utilised through out

Local solar substation built to provide electricity for the houses to power lights and charge small devices.

There are two phases to this project.

Phase 1 - 50 houses - 50 families - approx. accommodation for 250 people - Cost £150,000

Phase 2 - 250 houses - approx. accommodation for 1250 people - Cost £850,000

We are currently raising funds for phase 1. 

Again we urge all to dig deep and help us to reach this target by 25th Feb 2023 so we can start the Phase 1 of this project.

The quicker we raise the funds the quicker we can provide the accommodation for our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster.
