The Help Yateem 50km London Walk-a-Thon: Trek for Education

This Christmas Day, on 25th December, we will embark on an exciting and challenging adventure to raise vital funds for Help Yateem, a charity dedicated to providing education to communities in need in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and The Gambia. 

 We need your support in this journey to make a difference in the lives of children who deserve access to education.

 The Challenge

Walking 50 kilometers in one day is no easy feat. Here are some key stats to give you an idea of the physical and mental challenge ahead:

 Distance: 50 kilometers (31 miles) through the streets of London

 Estimated Trekking Time: 11-13 hours of continuous walking

 Route: The trek will take us through the bustling streets of London, facing unpredictable weather and tough conditions.

 This challenge will push us to our limits, but every step we take will be a step closer to providing a better future for children who deserve the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Your support will keep us moving forward, every mile of the way.

 The Cause: Access to Education in Kenya and Beyond

Education is a basic human right, but millions of children in East Africa are denied this right due to poverty, conflict, and a lack of infrastructure. 

 In Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, and The Gambia, children face immense barriers to accessing education, with many forced to abandon their studies to work or care for their families.

They face limited job opportunities, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation and hardship.
