Following on from my successful solo tour of Tunisia in 2024 when I solo cycled 1600 km around Tunisia to raise much needed funds for World Care Foundation’s Orphans appeal Insha’Allah, in April & May 2025 I am once again set to undertake a solo cycling challenge.
This time my goal is to solo cycle across Algeria, equipped with my bike and tent, navigating unsupported through the rugged and mountainous north of this beautiful country.
The expedition kicks off in the eastern city of Annaba, leading me in a westerly direction through various towns and cities such as Skikda, Ain Kechra, Jijel, Bejai, Tigzirt, The capital Algiers, Tipaza, Tenes, Mostoganem and Oran amongst many others. It should see me cover a distance of approximately 1200km and climb up to 60000ft over the month.
This challenge will definitely be my most significant cycling challenge to date, promising both testing moments and moments of joy along the route. There will be plenty of smiles and no doubt some tears. Accommodation-wise, I have opted not to book any, intending to sleep in my tent whenever feasible and booking hostels on my rest days.
I am dedicating this ride once again to raising funds for World Care Foundation’s Orphans project, specifically the Orphans of the recent and ongoing conflict in Palestine and your support is crucial.
This challenge is entirely self-funded, ensuring that 100% of your donations go directly to the cause, adhering to a strict no-deduction policy. Your generosity will make a meaningful impact in the lives of these deserving children.

About World Care Foundation
WCF is a volunteer-led humanitarian charity which was founded to encourage humanitarian efforts in order to help those in need anywhere in the world, regardless of their faith, colour, gender and ethnicity. It specifically promotes volunteering work and supports volunteers to participate in any way they can. We establish community level management and volunteer groups so they can get involved in the actual decision-making progress, manage projects, go abroad on charity trips and encourage others to join.
Our main projects include Orphanages, Orphan sponsorship, Medical Centres, Refugee Crisis work and Education Projects. The appeals include Yemen Crisis Appeal, Dhaka Urgent Appeal and Rohingya Refugees Urgent Appeal.
We aim to provide urgent help wherever it is needed most. We have delivered aid to Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, France, Macedonia, Greece, Syria, Pakistan, Jordon, Turkey, Lebanon, Bangladesh and African countries.
We operate a 100% donation policy which is solely spent on specified projects to help the world’s neediest people.
