Ummah Welfare Trust continues to support and strengthen these indispensable institutions. Through subsidies, renovations and sponsorship programmes, the charity has helped establish hundreds of madrassahs and maktabs in recent years, alhamdulillah.

in support of Ummah Welfare Trust

Madrasahs, along with maktabs (or kuttab), trace their traditions back through nearly a thousand years of Islamic learning. Till today, they remain the single most vital tool for preserving Prophetic knowledge and cultivating it amongst the masses of the Ummah.
‘The world is cursed and what is in it is cursed, except the remembrance of Allah and what facilitates that, or one who has knowledge or one who seeks knowledge.’
[Ibn Majah]
