The Worcester Muslim Welfare Association, an established organisation since 1979, proudly serves the local Muslim community. 

New Masjid Project

As we have outgrown our current masjid, we face challenges during peak periods, with attendees struggling to find space to pray. Often, our carpark is used to accommodate the overflow.

Our current masjid has a capacity for only 400 people, while the new masjid will accommodate 1,000 individuals. This new facility will not only provide ample space for prayer but also include funeral facilities, educational spaces, and gardens designed to help relax, unwind, and support mental health and well-being.

In 2021, we began constructing the new masjid to increase capacity and transform it into a community hub for everyone. This new masjid will provide dedicated space for sisters, who currently lack space in our existing facility. We have completed 50% of the construction but urgently need £1.5 million to finish internal services, fixtures, fittings, carpark, and external services such as water, sewage, electrics, and gas.

Education & Youth Outreach 

Alhamdullilah from August 2021, we started work to increase the Islamic knowledge of the community with English monthly programmes. Since then we have gone from strength to strength, building on this by now offering: Islamic Fard-ul-Ayn courses, Aqeedah & Seerah courses, Ramadan reminders, Light upon Light rabi ul awwal series, Youth Itikaaf, workshops for both brothers and sisters, youth activities & trips. Addtionally, we have started Revert circle for our convert Muslim brothers and sisters. In addition to our Madrassah, we also have a Sunday school to meet the needs of students who can come only once a week.

We are continually transforming our Madrassah by developing the Madrassah education system and curriculum to meet the needs of the Muslims living in 21st century Britain.
