The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).

I will be raising money for LIA Relief Trust who work on changing the lives of those most vulnerable and impoverished, being the heart of everything they do. They have impeccable teams on the ground, running projects in the middle east, asia, africa and many more. Whether it's the result of a war conflict or natural disaster, they are instantly on the ground delivering aid and emergency relief to those affected or in dire need.

Amongst the various projects LIA Relief Trust run, such as waterwells, housing, building masjids and providing food. I have chosen to raise money for a groundbreaking educational project, which aims to create and preserve the education of children. But with recent major earthquakes across Turkey and Syria, thousands have lost their lives and millions have been affected.

This immense educational project has benefited over 900+ students who due to the merciless war and constant bombardment, as well as the country's inflation and the suffocating cost of living, has made it extremely difficult for children to find a good quality education if any at all. And now with the current crisis, circumstances have become extremely severe. Due to the recent earthquakes, just over 120 of our students and a member of the teaching staff have lost their lives, and those who remain, are left with the burden of dealing with the loss of their family and friends. Large parts of the school have been turned to rubble and other parts completely nonfunctional and too dangerous for use.

With your incredible support, as well as not just rebuilding the entire madrassah we can also begin to rebuild the lives of those children left behind. Giving hope to the children for the future just as we wish for our own children to have a bright future ahead of them. My target is to raise as much as possible, every donation large or small will benefit tremendously to help bring back smiles and hopes back to these wonderful children. May Allah reward everyone immensely who donates or at the least spreads awareness of this great endeavour inshallah this will be the means of countless rewards long after we are gone, in the form of Sadaqah Jariyah.
