Who are “Spinney Hill Drugs, Alcohol & Addiction Support” ?

 What the organisation says :

Spinney Hill Drugs, Alcohol & Addiction Support was established to address the increasing number of individuals from our communities that are grappling with substance abuse, specifically drugs and alcohol, but also Gambling and Pornography. As the numbers of affected individuals continued to rise, there was a noticeable absence of organisations equipped to meet their needs.

This led us on a journey to establish a community based, culturally sensitive service that was holistic in nature to support those who were looking for help. Our Support extends not just to muslims in our community, where the need has been identified, but we also support individuals from all other faiths or no faith.  We are here to serve the whole community.

The Spinney Hill Well Being Centre offers a holistic therapy designed to address the overall well-being of service users, encompassing their mind, body, and soul.

We have male and female volunteers to support men and women who are grappling with addiction and also family support for the wives, mothers and partners of the service users.

Riders of Shaam are supporting Spinney Hill Drugs, Alcohol & Addiction Support this year.  The organisation relies on the support of the community to continue to function and Riders of Shaam need your help to continue to support the amazing work they do.

THE PROJECTS  (SADAQA AND LILLAH ONLY)

Riders of Shaam are raising funds in 2 key areas

SUPPORT SESSIONS

These are for users of the service, where they are supported by a professional.  These sessions are vitally crucial in order to get the individual on the road to recovery.

FOOD PARCELS

These help service users and their families.  The food parcels are a vital lifeline as many families of service users struggle financially.

£250 Provides FIVE Support Sessions for a Vulnerable Person

£50 Provides ONE Support Session for a Vulnerable Person

£75 Provides THREE Food Parcels for a Vulnerable Family

£25 Provides ONE Food Parcel for a Vulnerable Family
