Asalaam'u'Aleykum. We are deeply saddened with the news of Omar Shazad Ghalib’s passing. He was an angel to us all. A father, a husband, an uncle, a brother, a son and a friend to all. A big loss to the family, the community and all of Rochdale. He was always doing things for others, rather than himself, so we are here to do something for him. We would like to send a lasting gift to Shazad that will benefit him in the hereafter.

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”

We are intending to spread the money raised across many sadaqa related projects for example building facility for a community (be it a Masjid, Orphanage or School) as well as the water, education related projects. 

We are looking to raise as much as we can for these projects, and would greatly appreciate any help and donations for this project for our dear brother.

Anyone that has ever had the pleasure of even a slight interaction with Shazad knows what a beautiful soul he is. Always willing to go out of his way to help anyone no matter how well they knew him. Please allow us to give him one final gift, allow us all to contribute to the continuous gift of good deeds for our brother Omar Shazad Ghalib.
