Why sponsor an Orphan

A recent report stated Syria's Idlib hosts some 1.2 million Orphans. Millions of orphans have suffered unimaginable trauma and are at risk of exploitation such as child labour and other damaging activities.

Our priority is to support orphans in their normal or extended family environment. Orphan Sponsorship will provide Food, Clothing, Education, Hygiene Products and Medical Care. 

Through One Nations Orphan Sponsorship programme, you can help give a child the lifeline they desperately need. We try and ensure that with your support the carer can feed, clothe and educate the Orphan in Need. Your support also provides hygiene products and medical care.

Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together. [Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5659]  

It only costs £480 to sponsor an orphan for a whole year. Thats £40 a month to really improve their lives. We might not be all in a position to donate £480 however we can set up a fundraising page and try sponsor an orphan with the support of our friends and families. If you can get 12 people to donate £40 each or 24 people to donate £20 each that would help sponsor an orphan child for a whole year! How amazing is that!

Anas (RadiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) was asked which fast was most virtuous after Ramadhan. He said: “Sha’ban in honour of Ramadhan” He said: “Which charity is best?” He (ﷺ) said: “Charity in Ramadhan.”
