One of the largest earthquakes to strike Turkey in at least a century, wiping out entire sections of major cities in a region filled with 3.7 million Syrian refugees who have fled conflict and war their country.

We’ve all seen the devastating videos and images. The survivors need our urgent help and assistance.

Human Appeal is on the ground right now, with approx. 300 staff members and volunteers, working in close coordination with the local authorities, monitoring the events and participating in the humanitarian efforts to provide vital assistance to affected families, who are in urgent need.

 

The hard work is in the days ahead. People without food, water & medication along with having lost their homes. We must unite to support. 

 

As a charity that has been visible in Turkey and Syria for over 10 years, our impact will InshaAllah be everlasting. Just last year we built over 1,200 homes in Syria. We then went on to replicate a similar project in Pakistan following the devastating floods which saw us raise millions of pounds for those who were left displaced. While we are providing immediate response and emergency aid in both Turkey and Syria now, we are already forward planning our long-term response to help our brothers and sisters who need it most. As an established organisation we want to use our infrastructure and organisation to make a monumental and vital impact.

The biggest earthquakes in 84 years have devastated south Turkey and north Syria killing over 47,000 people and rising including thousands of children. Casualties could exceed 50,000, as aftershocks, freezing temperatures and damaged roads hamper rescue efforts. Please help us to provide lifesaving aid to earthquake survivors now.

People are digging through rubble with their bare hands as those trapped beneath the wreckage send voice notes to their loved ones. It’s one of the deadliest earthquakes and sadly the death toll is expected to rise and saving lives amid the widespread destruction is a race against time.
