We really appreciate you visiting this page and taking interest in a campaign we feel passionate about. We would like to raise funds for a project which provides WATER. Something we take for granted each day. Something we have access to without any issues. However, not everyone has that opportunity. So, we have partnered up with Mission Relief to build a WATER WELL in EAST AFRICA.

East Africa has been suffering from it’s worse drought in 40 years, which has left many countries on the brink of famine. Ponds, River Beds and water sources have dried up, and whole communities are left with no water to drink. As we are all aware, water is one of the main sources required to survive.

A solution Mission Relief have created is to build water wells in these communities. A water well can take up to 6 weeks to build and costs a total of £1500 GBP. We have identified a number of areas that require a water well and surveys have been completed.

 

How a water well works:

 

The electric pump is driven by an electric motor which converts electrical energy into kinetic energy (energy in motion).
 

The pump is connected to electricity that in return connected through PVC pipe fitting, designed to draw water up from 100 feet or more below the surface. (Our water wells are usually between 80 - 100 feet).
 

The water wells are drilled to the base of a water shelf.
 

One pipe is mounted to the impeller 10 feet to 20 feet below the minimum water level, and a second pipe connects the jet output back to the pump.
 

The pump motor connects to an above-ground power source.
 

The pump itself is comprised of stacked impellers (Increases the pressure and flow of water) separated by a diffuser that drive the water up to the storage tank.
 

Within the storage tank is an air bladder that compresses as water is pumped into it.
 

The resulting pressure moves the water through the plumbing system. The pump stops when the pressure inside the storage tank reaches a pre-set level and resumes when the pressure drops below that level.
 

Our team on the ground have evaluated an area and have agreed that there is a need for a water well there. We would like to present this water well opportunity to you In Sha Allah.
