The people of Yemen have been brutally crushed by relentless war which has left behind immense poverty. The United Nations have described Yemen as the worst man-made humanitarian crisis of our time. Almost 80% of its 28 million population are in need of aid. Hunger has reached extreme levels, with 1 child dying every 10 minutes and approximately 2.3 million children under the age of 5 suffering from acute malnutrition. To date, atleast 85,000 children under the age of 5 have starved to death.
As part of their Yemen Emergency Appeal, Global Relief Trust are working on the ground to provide treatment to those who are malnourished. Insha'AIIah, with your help, we aim to raise £2500 to treat 5 malnourished children. With Ramadan just a few months away, there is an ever increasing need to give to charity and donate. Also bearing in mind that the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, 'The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni, and I am Yemeni'. [Ahmad]
Please join us in this noble cause by donating generously as much as you can. No donation is too small, whatever you are able to give is sure to go a long way. Sadaqah, Lillah and Zakaat are accepted.
Note: 100% donation policy with Zakaat. 5% Admin Fee taken from Sadaqah and Lillah donations (for Logistics, Programmes, Procurement and Implementation of Projects).
